Credentials

In Canada, education is regulated provincially. Becoming a registered and licensed education provider requires compliance with strict regulations.

The Centre for Distance Education (CD-ED) Inc. is registered in the Province of Nova Scotia and licensed through the Department of Advanced Education. We are regulated by the Nova Scotia Private Career Colleges Act and have upheld these standards since the college was founded in 1996.

CD-ED teaches students throughout Canada and internationally. And while government recognition is a form of quality assurance, there are several other ways that CD-ED is professionally affiliated and certified to ensure the quality of your education.

  • Our registration with the Private Colleges Association of Nova Scotia and the National Association of Career Colleges means that as members, we are required to meet the highest regulatory standards to ensure the best possible education for our students.
  • As part of the government registration process, each of our diploma programs must receive two successful industry reviews before the curriculum is approved. These reviews ensure that our training adequately prepares graduates for employment in the current workplace environment. Our Health Information Management diploma program has received additional industry endorsement by meeting the standards for accreditation with the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA).
  • CD-ED publicly measures student satisfaction with our programs through verified Trustpilot reviews.
