CD-ED’S PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Completion of High School
A high school diploma is a prerequisite for all CD-ED Professional Development (PD) courses. By checking the box to verify that you have this level of education, you are confirming that you meet this requirement. However, if students wish to apply their PD course as credit toward a full college diploma program with CD-ED, then official high school transcripts or proof of graduation with a degree from a Canadian English-language university will be required.
Certificate of Completion in Medical Terminology
For PD courses requiring a certificate of completion in Medical Terminology from a recognized institution as a prerequisite, applicants must submit a copy of the document before CD-ED will finalize the registration and sales process.
Course Materials, Computer & Internet
CD-ED will provide the student with books & software required for completion of the course.
It is the responsibility of the student to have a computer equipped to run the software. The computer needs to be kept free of viruses. Students are required to keep the software up to date and work with appropriate support services to resolve software issues.
Students are responsible for procuring and maintaining a reliable internet connection throughout their course.
Time Limit
CD-ED will provide instructor support for up to one year from the time that we activate a student’s online access to their Professional Development course.
Certificate of Completion
To receive a Certificate of Completion for a Professional Development course, a student must submit all required assignments within the time limit allowed for the course and achieve a passing grade of 60% or higher.
Toll-Free Technical Support Line
CD-ED’s technical support line is for students who may encounter problems pertaining directly to the software used for their CD-ED course. When you call the toll-free tech support line, CD-ED technical support staff will attempt to rectify your problem over the telephone. In some cases, students may have to be referred to the manufacturer’s toll-free support services. CD-ED is not responsible for student-owned equipment.
Toll-Free Instruction Support Line
CD-ED will provide a toll-free instruction support line to assist students with questions pertaining directly to the content of their CD-ED course. This line is not for technical support.
Withdrawal & Refunds
All sales are final. There will be no refunds once a student has registered, paid, and CD-ED has shipped their course books and supplies.
