Set Yourself Apart with Certification

Graduating from the CD-ED Health Information Management (HIM) Diploma program is just the beginning! Our program prepares you to take the CHIMA National Certification Exam, so you can earn the Certified Health Information Management (CHIM) credential, recognized across Canada.

Why Does Certification Matter?

Successfully passing the CHIMA national exam gives you:

  • The CHIM credential – A mark of excellence in the HIM field.
  • The Certified HIM Professional title – Proof of your expertise and commitment.

Without certification, you can’t use the CHIM credential or call yourself an HIM professional. That’s because CHIM is a protected title, and HIM™ is a registered trademark of CHIMA.

Some programs may offer HIM training, but not all prepare you for certification. By choosing a program like CD-ED’s, you become fully equipped to successfully challenge the CHIMA exam and enter the workforce with confidence.
